Job Summary: Responsible for creating visually appealing floral arrangements for various occasions including weddings, funerals, corporate events, holidays, and everyday sales

Reports To: Store Manager / Owner
Key Responsibilities

1. Floral Design: Create, design, and customize floral arrangements based on customer specifications and preferences while staying updated on design trends

2. Customer Service: Interact with customers, provide design recommendations, deliver quality work on time, and handle customer complaints promptly
. -
3. Product Management: Select fresh materials, ensure proper flower care, and manage inventory and stock levels
. -
4. Sales and Marketing: Assist in creating visual displays, collaborate on promoting special offers, and participate in community events/workshops
. -
5. Operational Duties: Keep the work area clean and safe, adhere to health and safety regulations, and assist with product pricing and transactions
. -
6. Team Collaboration: Coordinate with staff, train/guide junior staff and apprentices, and participate in team meetings
.
Qualifications

Education: High school diploma or equivalent; formal training in floral design or a related field is preferred
. -
Experience: Previous floral design experience; retail or customer service experience is a plus
. -
Skills: Strong artistic abilities, excellent communication, high attention to detail, ability to work under pressure, knowledge of flower types/techniques, and basic computer skills

Physical Requirements & Work Environment

Physical Requirements: Ability to stand for long periods, capability to lift and carry heavy buckets of flowers, and manual dexterity for handling delicate flowers/tools

Work Environment: Fast-paced, dynamic retail setting; may require working weekends, holidays, and peak seasons
