Literacy Volunteers of Ontario-Yates (LVOY) is offering a Tutor Training Orientation. The purpose of the Orientation is to learn more about tutoring for Literacy Volunteers. The Orientation will be held on Wednesday, January 13 from 5:30 ?6:30pm at the Geneva Public Library, 244 Main St., Geneva. In order to become a tutor, you must be 18 years of age, have an interest in helping adult learners, be a high school graduate (or GED), able to attend the entire training program, complete homework assignments and be willing to devote at least 2 hours per week to working with an adult learner. Tutors need not have a teaching background or have knowledge of a foreign language.
