This fall the Geneva Historical Society will host the book discussion group "Lincoln on the Civil War." Sponsored by the New York Council for the Humanities, the reading and discussion series will run for five sessions at the Historical Society from October 6 to December 1, 2015.
Discussions will be led by facilitator W. Averell Bauder, a member of Reynolds’ Battery L, 1st New York Light Artillery, an organization committed to educating the public about the Civil War through reenactments and demonstrations. The program is free and open to the public, although pre-registration is required as space is limited. Sessions will run from 6:30-8:00 p.m. at the Geneva History Museum on five Tuesdays: October 6 and 20, November 3 and 17, and December 1. The first session will be a brief introduction to the readings and expectations for participation. To register for the program or for more information about acquiring books, please contact the Historical Society at 315-789-5151.
