The Geneva League of Women Voters will hold its Annual Meeting on Tuesday, April 27, 2010 at 7 p.m. at the Geneva Neighborhood Resource Center, 105 Seneca Street, Geneva. Charles Zettek, Jr., Vice President & Director, Government Management Services for the Center for Government Research, will be speaking on ?Increasing Government Efficiency through Shared Services and Citizens? Role In the Process?.
Mr. Zettek joined the Center for Governmental Research (CGR) in March 2000, after working for City of Rochester NY and Monroe County governments for 15 years and as a private consultant to public sector clients for eight years. At CGR, Mr. Zettek has directed projects to identify management improvements in the areas of public safety (police and fire), social services, and general government operations in all areas of local government. One of Mr. Zettek?s principal interests is identifying opportunities to reduce the cost of local government through shared service, consolidation and dissolution strategies. He is a recognized expert on village dissolutions and town consolidations in New York. In the past three years, he has conducted 12 village/town consolidation/dissolution studies and a landmark study that proposed consolidating the Town and City of Batavia. Mr. Zettek earned an M.S. in Public Policy from the University of Rochester in 1980.
The public is encouraged to attend the meeting. Following Mr. Zettek?s presentation League members will hold their annual business meeting.
