Largest Collection of Hand Woven Coverlets in America and Other Facts

Bonnie Hays, Executive Director at Historic Palmyra, will present this lecture on coverlets. Historic Palmyra owns and operates the Alling Coverlet Museum, which features the largest collection of American hand woven coverlets in the United States. Coverlets are woven bedcovers that were commonly used in the United States during the 19th century and woven by women at home, or by professional weavers situated in towns.
