The Watergate, Graceland, and the nation's oldest McDonald's are now listed in the National Register of Historic Places. What 20th-century buildings should we save, and why? In this illustrated presentation we'll find out why we should love?or at least appreciate?both the extraordinary and ordinary buildings of the last century. Preservationists around the country are fighting to save some of the most beloved, and most hated, designs of the era; we'll look at how we can work proactively to protect the best of the recent and not-so-recent past in our region. Presenter Katie Eggers Comeau is the architectural historian at Bero Architecture PLLC, a Rochester architecture firm specializing in historic preservation.
