Celebrated pollster John Zogby will give his take on “The Political Landscape: 2013 and Beyond” when he speaks at Finger Lakes Community College on Sunday, Feb. 10.
Zogby will explore how Barack Obama won a demographic 2012 victory – though not necessarily an ideological one. He will offer insight on what lies ahead for the president’s second term as well as for the Democratic and Republican parties.
Curt Smith, former speechwriter to President George H.W. Bush, will join Zogby as the moderator in a spirited discussion, scheduled for 4 p.m. in the college’s new auditorium. The audience will be invited to ask questions after the talk.
Zogby is the second of three speakers in the 2012-13 George M. Ewing Canandaigua Forum lineup. The lecture series is organized by a community committee and hosted by FLCC. The final speaker on Sunday, May 5, is Catherine Bertini, who ran the United Nations World Food Program for 10 years and was recognized for her work to prevent starvation.
Single event tickets are $29 to $39. Tickets are on sale online at gmeforum.org, by phone at (585) 785-1386 or email at gmeforum@flcc.edu.
