Jack Ass Day

Join us for a rip-roaring good time at the third annual Jack Ass Day. Visit Doobie, our almost-famous pet miniature donkey, and join in the donkey games: sack races, water balloon toss, watermelon-eating contest and, of course, pin the tail on the donkey! Challenge your friends to see who will win the prize! 

The Cayuga Wine Trail will host its “Grow & Show Contest”: which hot pepper you’ve grown this year that comes closest in length to Doobie’s ear. Live music provided by country/rock band City Limits is sure to get you up on the dance floor. Bring your lawn chairs and chill with a glass of Doobie Blues or Jack Ass Red, the two wines named after our sweet Doobie. Thurston’s Barbeque will fire up the grill, offering pulled pork, chicken spiedies, sausage, pepper & onions along with a variety of sides. Cayuga Lake Creamery will tempt you with their delicious ice cream, including a special flavor created in honor of Doobie!
