The Finger Lakes Federal Credit Union presents a tri-artist exhibition by three local artists, Elaine Liberio, Jan Romeiser, and Tina Yannotti Burgess. Their work is on display at the FLFCU Main Office (Geneva Branch) lobby and Loan Department. An opening reception with the artist will be held Friday, March 6th, 2015 from 5:00 PM – 7:00 PM at the Credit Union’s Main Office. Light refreshments, including a wine tasting by Fulkerson Winery, will be provided.
Elaine Liberio
“Painting is exhilarating, especially Plein Air!” While Elaine loves studio painting, Plein Air painting has become her great love and this will be her third year in the Seneca Lake Plein Air Painting Festival sponsored by Billsboro Winery. Recently, Elaine has teamed up with two other artists, Tina Yannotti Burgess and Jan Romeiser to form “artiststhree”, painting and showing their work together around the Finger Lakes. Their first collaborative show was at White Springs Winery in the spring, followed by a show at Billsboro Winery and next they were at Main Street Arts in Clifton Springs for the months of December and January. Elaine is a member of Wayne County Council for the Arts and the Western Wayne Arts Group where she exhibits and sells her art. She also offers workshops and classes in oil painting, watercolor and drawing. One of her most fun workshops is “Oil Painting with Rags - No Brushes Allowed”. She is currently developing a website, www.liberioart.com. Her studio is located at 48 State Route 21, Palmyra, NY 14522. To inquire about workshops or to tour her studio, please e-mail her at liberioart@rochester.rr.com or call 315-945-2374.
Jan Romeiser
Jan had always enjoyed art classes in high school. Although it had been a big part of her, she did not pursue an education in it. She kept her hand at it for a while after she married in 1976. Kids were born and life flew by with little time for painting.
Jan began painting again in 2006 after her daughters gave her everything she needed to start. In 2009, she started painting at the Pat Rini Rohrer Gallery and Studio II in Canandaigua. She has taken workshops with Judy Soprano, Dick Kane, Ann Larsen, Elaine Liberio, and a number of other artists. Under their guidance (and lots of independent painting) her talent is developing.
Her paintings have been hung at Pat Rini Rohrer Gallery, Main Street Arts in Clifton Springs, Women Artists of the Finger Lakes shows, Phelps Art Center, White Springs Winery, and Billsboro Winery. She is a member of the Ontario County Arts Council rotating artists and has had her paintings in various businesses in and around Canandaigua.
“Being creative in a small way, or in a great way, is a gift from God. Enjoy yourself, find your gift, your talent, and develop it.”

Tina Yannotti Burgess
My name is Valentina (Tina) Yannotti Burgess and my interest in Art began in grammar school and was my Major in High School. I attended FLCC taking classes in drawing and painting. For the past 6 years I have been studying with Pat Rini Rohrer in “Studio II” at the Pat Rini Rohrer Gallery and Judy Suprano. It was after attending Plein Air Painting classes in 2006 that I discovered that painting with oil was my passion. After painting with oil at this class, I discovered that mixing paint on canvas, and the fact that it didn’t dry right away, I could discover more colors and could move the paint around with more freedom. Oil painting wasn’t the only thing I discovered. I found out through painting local marinas, farms, and parks how lucky I am to live in such a naturally beautiful area. It was the serenity I felt in the presence of this area that compelled me, and brought out my passion to want to put that feeling and that beauty on canvas.
To purchase any of the images that are on display at FLFCU, contact Tina directly and arrangements will be made to have them available to you as soon as possible. You can contact Tina Yannotti Burgess at her email at tyannott@rochester.rr.com, or call at 315-781-0537. Check out www.theartfarmgallery.com to see more of Tina’s work.
