Disc Golf at Lakefront Park
On the weekend of Aug 13-14, a temporary 18-hole "basket" course will be installed at Lakefront Park along 5&20, to the east of the Chamber of Commerce. Disc golf is like conventional ball and club golf played with a Frisbee-like golf disc. Players attempt to throw from a tee area into a basket like target in a minimum number of strokes.
There will be a 1 round tournament Saturday morning (8AM registration), and open play Saturday afternoon and all day Sunday. The first 10 novice attendees on each day will be eligible for a free golf disc.
All ages and experience levels are welcome. There will be discs for sale, and demonstrations by experienced players. Questions? Write to genevadisc@gmail.com
