Mark your calendars for the highly anticipated launch of the 2011 Tierce Dry Riesling. Held at Fox Run Vineyards on July 6th, the celebration will highlight three cool-climate vineyards, three winemakers and one remarkable wine. Tierce Dry Riesling represents a unique collaboration between Anthony Road Wine Company, Fox Run Vineyards and Red Newt Cellars - integrating not only the varying vineyard expressions of Seneca Lake, but also the individual philosophies of the participating winemakers.
Starting at 7 PM, there will be three tasting courses presented. Guests will be welcomed with the 2010 Tierce that was served at the Presidential Inaugural Luncheon in Washington D.C. in January. The next course will revolve around an interesting tasting of the separate 2011 Tierce Dry Riesling varietal components. Only then will the 2011 Tierce be poured. The event will have the 2011 Tierce available for purchase and time for the three winemakers to autograph bottles. Each tasting is being paired with a wonderful selection of hors d'oeuvres by Chef Samantha Buyskes.
The event emcee is Evan Dawson, author of Summer in A Glass: The Coming of Age of Winemaking in the Finger Lakes. Tickets are $35 per person and available online at http://tierce.eventbrite.com.
