DESCRIPTION:The Seventh Annual Seaplane Homecoming at Depot Park in Hammondsport is slated for Sept. 18\, 19 & 20. Weekend festivities include seaplane rides\, cruises on the Viking Spirit\, a seaplane parade\, Dining with Glenn\, Glenn H. Curtiss Museum tours and lots of food. The highlight on Sat. will be the second official flight of the reproduction of the America Flying Boat originally built by Curtiss in 1914. Registration\, dinner reservations and the schedule are available online at seaplanehomecoming.org or glennhcurtissmuseum.org. or call 607-569-2160. Shuttle bus and boat service will be offered from designated parking lots to Depot Park and back. This is a wonderful event for the whole family filled with history and lots of excitement.
