DESCRIPTION:Literacy Volunteers of Ontario-Yates (LVOY) is offering aTutor Training Orientation. The purpose of the Orientation is to learn more about tutoring for Literacy Volunteers.  The Orientation will be held on Thursday\, January 21 from 5:30-6:30pm at the LVOY office located at 208 S. Main St.\, Canandaigua. \n\nIn order to become a tutor\, you must be 18 years of age\, have an interest in helping adult learners\, be a high school graduate (or GED)\, able to attend the entire training program\, complete homework assignments and be willing to devote at least 2 hours per week to working with an adult learner.  Tutors need not have a teaching background or have knowledge of a foreign language.\n\nFor more information or to register for the orientation session call LVOY at 585-396-1686 or toll free at 1-888-546-5862.
