SUMMARY:Literacy Volunteers New Tutor Orientation
DESCRIPTION:Literacy Volunteers of Ontario-Yates (LVOY) is offering a new Tutor Training Orientations. The purpose of the Orientation is to learn more about tutoring for Literacy Volunteers.  The Orientation will be held on Tuesday\, October 13\, 2009 from 5:30-6:30pm. at the Literacy Volunteers office located at 208 S. Main St.\, Canandaigua.   Attendance at only one orientation is required. \nIn order to become a tutor\, you must be 18 years of age\, have an interest in helping adult learners\, be a high school graduate (or GED)\, able to attend the entire training program\, complete homework assignments and be willing to devote at least 2 hours per week to working with an adult learner.  Tutors need not have a teaching background or have knowledge of a foreign language.\nFor more information or to register for the orientation session call LVOY at 585-396-1686 or toll free at 1-888-546-5862.
