DESCRIPTION:Literacy Volunteers of Ontario County (LVOC) wants you to "Leap into Fall" and become a literacy volunteer as it continues to celebrate 40 years of service! LVOC announces its next Tutor Training Workshop\, a program that offers volunteers the opportunity to help adults learn to read and write or learn how to speak English. In order to become a tutor\, you must be at least 18 years of age\, have an interest in helping adult students to learn\, be a high school graduate (or GED)\, be able to attend the entire training program\, complete homework assignments and be willing to devote at least 2 hours per week to working with an adult student. Tutors need not have a teaching background or have knowledge of a foreign language.
