DESCRIPTION:The Geneva Historical Society's 2014 Fall Lecture Series continues on Wednesday\, October 22\, 2014 with "The History of the American Flag" a presentation by Civil War historian and reenactor Lee Houser. The program will be held at the Geneva History Museum at 7:30 p.m.\n\n \n\nMr. Houser will use "show and tell" methods to explore the history of the American Flag from the nation's beginnings to the recent past\, including during the War of 1812\, Mexican War\, and American Civil War.\n\n \n\nLee Houser is retired from RG&E and Constellation Energy Group. He is a veteran of the U.S. Army and served in an artillery unit in Korea. Born in Rochester\, he has lived in Clifton Springs with his wife for thirty years. Mr. Houser is active in a number of military organizations\, including the American Legion and the VFW. He is also the co-founder of the Civil War Heritage Foundation\, a non-profit educational organization that portrays individuals from the Civil War period. A living historian\, he portrays Confederate Major General Isaac R. Trimble's civilian and military life with the organization.\n\n \n\nThis lecture is supported in part by the Samuel B.
