DESCRIPTION:In the Geneva Historical Society's March lecture\, Glenn Bucien of Cornell Plantations will talk about the history of saving seed and the shift to industrial agriculture. He will discuss concerns about the system's sustainability\, and share ideas for all gardeners to participate in the saving of seed. Participants are welcome to bring samples of seeds they save and to share their memories of garden vegetables of the past.\n\n\n\nGlenn Bucien is a gardener at Cornell Plantations and caretaker of the Pounder Heritage Vegetable Gardens. Mr. Bucien is also a garlic farmer and beer maker. He lives in Interlaken.\n\n\n\nThis program is free and open to the public.. For more information\, call the Society at 315-789-5151.
