DESCRIPTION:The Finger Lakes Federal Credit Union presents an artist exhibition by local artist\, Kathy Collins. Her work is on display at the FLFCU Main Office (Geneva Branch) lobby and Loan Department. An opening reception with the artist will be held Friday\, November 7th\, 2014 from 5:00 PM 7:00 PM at the Credit Union's Main Office. Light refreshments\, including a wine tasting by Fulkerson Winery\, will be provided. \n\nKathy Collins was born and raised in Geneva. She started working in the darkroom at Geneva High School and continued on to Film Studies at Hobart and William Smith Colleges. Since graduating in 2009\, Kathy has worked freelance as a wedding and portrait photographer in the Finger Lakes area\, as a staff photographer for The Office of Communications at Hobart and William Smith\, and cover/feature photographer for Community Health Magazine.\n\nInspired by city\, ocean\, and landscape\, Kathy's work reflects the environments she comes upon\, letting scenery guide her. She enjoys experimenting with color contrast\, light\, and finding the abstract in nature. "My camera goes where I go\, because you never know where the perfect shot may pop up."\n\nAll the prints on display along with more of her work are available on her website www.photographybykathycollins.com and her Facebook page Photography By Kathy Collins.
