DESCRIPTION:Literacy Volunteers of Ontario County (LVOC) is offering Tutor Orientation to introduce people to the Literacy Volunteers organization and the requirements and qualities needed to become a tutor.  Monday\, February 11 at noon (don't forget to bring your lunch!) at the Geneva Presbyterian Church located at 24 Park Pl. in Geneva.   In order to become a tutor\, you must be at least 18 years of age\, have an interest in helping adult students to learn\, be a high school graduate (or GED)\, be able to attend the entire training program and complete homework assignments and be willing to devote at least 2 hours per week to working with an adult student. Tutors need not have a teaching background or have knowledge of a foreign language. For more information or to register for one of the orientations contact LVOC at 585-396-1686 or toll free at 1-888-546-5862. Registration is not required but recommended.
