This summer the Geneva Historical Society is again hosting a free concert series on the lawn at Rose Hill Mansion. For three Sundays, the grounds of Rose Hill Mansion will be alive with music and fun. Bring a picnic dinner and enjoy an evening of music to end a summer weekend in the Finger Lakes.
The final concert in the series will be the Golden Eagle String Band, who will perform on Sunday, August 21 at 5 p.m. The concerts are free and open to the public.
The Golden Eagle String Band has been performing in the Northeastern U.S. since 1978. The band has recorded for Smithsonian/Folkways, toured under a grant from the National Endowment for the Arts, and received a gold medal from the Smithsonian Institute as Folkways recording artists.
On concert days, Rose Hill Mansion will close following the last regular tour at 3:30 p.m. There will be no house tours during the concerts. The Billsboro Winery tasting room on the property will be open during the concerts, as will the Carriage House Gift Shop.
Support for the Rose Hill Concert Series is provided in part by the Nelson B. Delavan Foundation.
